Nebraska brings the top ranked D in the nation into tonights game at S.Miss. Neb has held all three of it's first opponents under 10 points. Tonight the Blackshirts face the SM team without it's starting QB Micky D'Angelo, as Soph Dustin "buttery" Almond will get the start in his place.

The Golden Eagles are 2-1 but have the 82nd ranked D in the nation. The have won two games with turnovers. The created 4 in one game and 6 in the other. If big red doesn't turn the ball over, they should win easy. The line is quite large for a David vs. Goliath type game on national t.v. Besides that Neb has been terrible against the number for the last two years (I know they got lucky against Ok St in week 1).

I think the powerful Neb D shuts down a SMiss team that will rely heavily on the run to get things done. I don't see the golden eagle offense doing much if any scoring. The question will simply be if the Neb O can get anything done. This is the first road game for Neb and SMiss is 2-0 at home this year. Nebraska only beat PSU at home 18-10 and the State was blown out at home by a BC team that ran all over them. I don't have much faith in Lord to get anything done in this game... and the over under on the number of passes he will complete is probably 5 for the game.

Do I take the Neb D to score enought points to cover. Or is this an 8-4 final.

Tonight:
Neb -10.5 small.
Under 37.5 small.

G/L to you.
